Site Security at Discount Mobile Communincations?
Payment and order details are sent to us across a secure connection that uses the Data Encryption Standard in either single or triple mode (56 or 168 bit strength respectively) to encrypt orders sent from our website. The emails are decrypted using a private key and application that runs on the receiving computer. This process ensures that emails that include credit card details cannot be read en route as they pass on their way to us. You can see that the pages are secure because the address in the address bar changes from being http:// to https://. You will also see a padlock symbol or key in the bottom bar of your browser when you are in a secure area. If you would prefer not to send your details via our website you can call us to place your order. Please call 0870 977 0786.

How long for delivery?
We hold huge quantities of phones and accessories in stock. The majority of orders placed before 2pm Monday to Friday are delivered within 48-72hrs. There are some exceptions:

• Orange Phones: When you place your order, you are clearly advised proofs of id are required - phones cannot be despatched until this criteria is met.

• T-Mobile Phones: All T-Mobile contract phones require proofs of id before we can begin to process your order.

• Pre-pay Products: Unfortunately, due to continued attempts to obtain prepay products fraudulently, we now authorise all payments with the card issuer. Switch and Amex are authorised immediately but Visa / MasterCard can take up to 6 hours

How long will it take?
Whilst we do our utmost to ensure prompt delivery, timescales are not guaranteed due to possible delays within Royal Mail and stock availability, however if this is the case you will be notified. We only deliver to the registered cardholder's address.

Can I buy one of your free phones and use it for pay as you go?
No, as clearly stated on the relevant pages, all free phones are subject to connection and status. i.e. these phones require a credit check and a minimum 12 month contract. Pay as you go phones are available to order from their own Pre-Pay page.

Are you approved phone dealers?
We are an Orange Approved Dealer, 3 Approved Dealer, O2 Approved Dealer and an Authorised Vodafone and T-Mobile Stockist. This means that you can order in confidence knowing that you will receive the full benefits of being an Orange or T-Mobile customer and will be billed directly by Orange, 3, Vodafone, O2 or T-Mobile for your monthly charges.

Why a credit check?
When you use most mobile phones, you make the call, run up a bill and then pay for it later. Thus, a mobile phone is a form of credit. Historically, mobile phone companies were victims of wide scale fraud and so these days they carefully check credit records of all potential customers. The vast majority of people, though, have nothing to worry about. So long as you regularly pay your bills on time and haven't defaulted on any previous credit then you shouldn't have a problem.
